Krämerbrücke is Europe’s longest bridge built with houses and it is possible to take a walking tour of this area. The bridge was originally made from wood before it was rebuilt in stone in 1325 and adorned with churches at each end. The only church building remaining is the deconsecrated Aegideuskirche, which is now part of the Sorat Hotel. Alboth’s Restaurant is situated in a stately building at the heart of the city. The decor is reminiscent of the 18th century, featuring plush upholstery and tones of cream, champagne, and gold. The menu offers a selection of German dishes, artfully prepared.
