Area Information

Cape Town is the second-most populous city in South Africa, a provincial capital of the Western Cape, as well as a seat of the National Parliament, and South Africa’s most popular tourist destination. It is a part of the City of Cape Town metropolitan region, with more than three point seven million inhabitants. The city is well-known for its harbour and the Cape floral kingdom (Table Mountain and Cape Point). Its city centre is located between the Table Mountain and Table Bay. Getting to Cape Town is quite easy, as it has its own airport Cape Town International Airport, serving both domestic and international flights. Located 13 miles from the city centre, this is the second-largest airport in the country. Other travel possibilities in the city include boat, rail, Metrorail commuter service, car, bus, and taxi service.
